Why Ask for What You Don't Have?

Tired of having a stone in your soup? How about some cactus soup! Cactus Soup is a version of the story Stone Soup with a Mexican twist. What a great chance to compare different versions of the same story and get a glimpse of the Mexican culture and foods. And with food being a focus with all the upcoming yummy holidays, why not take the opportunity to try some of those foods, YUM!

You can even take the Mexican culture into the Christmas holidays. Mexico has some wonderful Christmas traditions from poinsettias to piƱatas! They begin celebrating Christmas on December 12th, so it would be an excellent occasion to transition from Mexico’s Christmas traditions to America’s.

So many wonderful books and so little time!!
